Established in 1987 and headquartered in Taiwan, TSMC pioneered the pure-play foundry business model with an exclusive focus on manufacturing its customers’ products. As of 2024, TSMC serves more than 500 customers and manufactures over 11,000 products for high-performance computing, smartphones, the Internet of Things (IoT), automotive, and digital consumer electronics. It is the world’s largest provider of logic ICs, with an annual capacity of over 17 million 12-inch equivalent wafers in 2025. TSMC operates fabs in Taiwan as well as manufacturing subsidiaries in Washington State, Japan and China, and the Company began construction on a specialty technology fab in Dresden, Germany, in 2024. In Arizona, TSMC is building three fabs, with the first starting 4nm production in 2025, the second by 2028, and the third by the end of the decade.
TSMC IT is looking for an outstanding User Experience Designer to design the future experiences of employees, fab engineers, R&D, clients and suppliers. The UX Designer will be responsible for researching, designing, innovating, and prototyping new user experiences that pave the way for the future of TSMC’s Digital Transformation in a way that has never been done before. The UX Designer will collaborate with IT product managers, application developers to create an amazing user experience from AI (Artificial Intelligence) and business product prototypes for TSMC global manufacturing in next decades.
Job Responsibilities
Your responsibility includes:

1. Research and define UX strategy for user group segments as well as various engineering types based on business requirements.
2. Imagine, conceive, manage, and drive ownership of UX design in product prototypes to immerse external and internal users in future products.
3. Develop Rapid UX prototyping to communicate product design concept and continuous UX improvement through user interviews and user scenario usage analysis.
4. Develop creative and innovative design solutions for engineer and business user experiences that support multiple roles with varying scopes and objectives.

The complete interview process includes:

1. Manager interview
2. On-site personality and English test (which could be substituted with the result of an official English proficiency test)
3. HR interview
4. Second manager interview (Optional Assessment)
Job Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree or above in the study of design including one of the following: Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Web Design, Interaction Design, UI/UX Design, Service Design, Information Architecture, Human Factors, or a portfolio that shows equivalent project experience. 
2. 3+ years of working experience advocating for, creating, and building world-class experiences for mobile, web, TV or other digital devices. Knowledge of global design best practices and working for international companies or semiconductor field is a plus. 
3. An excellent portfolio showcasing UI/UX and visual design work with a strong design sensibility and articulate storytelling. 
4. Ability to prototype in UX prototyping tools or HTML. 
Customer-focused, with experience using design research methods to uncover customer insights. Able to take insights and define the desired customer outcomes.
