The Workforce Development Specialist provides administrative, recruitment, learning management and project management support for the TSMC Apprenticeship Program.

This position is a full-time temporary position. Candidates selected will be hired by our vendor, or as a TSMC contractor, with the potential to convert to a non-temporary direct TSMC employee based on factors like performance, attendance, etc. This position is on-site at our Phoenix office located at 5088 W. Innovation Cir. Monday-Friday.

 

JOB DUTIES

 

  • Monitor and maintain the apprenticeship program inbox responses, coordinate workforce development related meetings, coordinate for workforce development task forces on internal activities, document filing and Workforce Development Sharefolder organization
  • Maintain the apprenticeship website and support with updates.
  • Support apprenticeship program preboarding, onboarding and orientation and ongoing learning needs
  • Coordinate workforce development related programs such as apprenticeship onboarding, new apprentices experience, and other corporate training programs internally at TSMC
  • Coordinates and support apprenticeship program mentors including mentor orientation, mentoring tracking and reporting
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all communication and information related to consumers, employees, and business relations
  • Develop marketing and campaign materials for the TSMC workforce development program
  • Attend marketing and networking events in the community and with the education partners. Participate in job fairs, vendor fairs, community education, workforce development, and outreach activities (i.e., external webinars) as requested or assigned. Positively represent TSMC to promote and market TSMC workforce development programs
  • Develops on-the-job training, workforce development handbook and any other workforce development internal materials.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including but not limited to answering phones, interviewing, training employees, faxing, filing, assisting with referrals, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, HR or learning and development related fields
  • Self- starter and takes ownership on projects and tasks to see them through completion.
  • Resilient, and willing to learn and adapt to changes that are typical in a start-up environment
  • Complete all assigned tasks with a sense of urgency
  • Experience in Learning and Development Function-Instructional Design and Learning coordination, or workforce development a plus
  • Must possess basic project management skills. Well-organized with the ability and attention to detail. Able to handle several programs simultaneously.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and experienced in Microsoft Suite products such as word, PPT, excel, etc.
  • Ability to succeed in team-based or independent environments
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Dedicated work ethic with a commitment to meeting deadlines and complete deliverables timely
  • Must maintain reliable transportation and valid insurance for some in-state travel • Must be able to pass a background screening successfully
