Overview of Role

TSMC’s Design Flow Signoff team is looking for a Digital Signoff Intern at its Austin Design Center. Projects in the Design Flow Signoff group are wide ranged from big data analysis, machine learning algorithms application to timing, power, and power delivery network optimization, to signoff methodologies using state of the art EDA tools for low voltage and high-performance digital designs. We are looking for individuals who can work as part of a high performing digital design signoff methodology team to specialize in all facets of library characterization and QC/QA. This position has a significant scientific research component. You will be reporting to the Director of Design Flow Signoff Department. We are currently operating in a hybrid work schedule with 4 days in office.

 

This Internship Program is open to students currently enrolled in a degree-seeking University that are graduating in 1 year to 2 years with a MS/PhD degree. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing large amounts of data to understand trends
  • Detect outliers and clustering rules to determine the best design methodologies for TSMC process offerings

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently working towards a M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering and graduating in 2025/2026
  • Prior internship experience in a relevant field  
  • Practical skills required: Python, Matlab

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with big data analysis
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms
  • Skills in Tcl, Unix, and C are highly desirable

At the time of this posting, this role typically pays an hourly rate between $35.00 and $42.00 per hour. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires.
