TSMC AZ Senior Direct Tax Analyst

TSMC Arizona is looking for a Senior Tax Specialist to join our 5-nanometer fab, located in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. Job Description:

  • Assist in developing business strategies for optimized tax returns
  • Assist in the preparation of corporate tax-returns
  • Assist in developing systems, policies, and procedures for improving the efficiency and accuracy of the data collection used in tax filings
  • Gather and analyze relevant financial/non-financial records for the application of the CHIPS Act grants/Investment Tax Credits.
  • Construct and maintain CHIPS Act grants/Investment Tax Credit workflow status.
  • Research and assess related changes from tax laws or macroeconomy impacting CHIPS Act grant/Investment Tax Credits’ application and implement any necessary changes.
  • Coordinate and support CHIPS Act audits, determine defensible tax position, and help develop documentation to support TSMC’s position.

 

Required skills and qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Big 4 or Public Company corporate taxes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Experience in managing extensive volumes of accounting paperwork for a corporation or large organization
  • Strong knowledge of accounting methods, tax laws, and audits
  • Keen interest in maintaining knowledge of tax legislation changes
  • Manages multiple priorities, competing deadlines, and shifting degrees of urgency, with calm diligence and a positive attitude
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Sharp attention to detail

 

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • CPA and/or Master’s degree are preferred
  • Knowledge of Federal tax credit is a plus
