Established in 1987 and headquartered in Taiwan, TSMC pioneered the pure-play foundry business model with an exclusive focus on manufacturing its customers’ products. In 2023, the company served 528 customers with 11,895 products for high performance computing, smartphones, IoT, automotive, and consumer electronics, and is the world’s largest provider of logic ICs with annual capacity of 16 million 12-inch equivalent wafers. TSMC operates fabs in Taiwan as well as manufacturing subsidiaries in Washington State, Japan and China, and its ESMC subsidiary plans to begin construction on a fab in Germany in 2024. In Arizona, TSMC is building three fabs, with the first starting 4nm production in 2025, the second by 2028, and the third by the end of the decade.

Role:

Drive quality accountability with well-defined processes, metrics, and goals for software operation. Manage availability, latency, scalability, and efficiency of applications development using fault tolerant approaches.
Job Responsibilities
1. Familiar with application monitoring and observability methodologies and technologies.
2. Ensure the robustness of microservice systems using various technologies for stability and to achieve goals of SLA/SLO.
3. Familiar with CI/CD tooling to eliminate DevOps toil and standardize the software delivery process.
4. Skilled in high availability and fault tolerance design to improve service reliability.
Job Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Engineering, a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
2. At least 5 years of experience supporting scalable service environments.
3. Demonstrate best practices in software development to create tools for infrastructure/operation management and automation.
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills with proactive problem-solving capabilities.
5. Possess knowledge of enterprise architecture integration, distributed system architecture, and cloud-native application architecture.
6. Experienced in event/incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and mitigating production outages, as well as post-mortem and failure story sharing.
7. Familiar with Kubernetes platform architecture and administration.
