To help us build the foundation of our future fab in Dresden, we are looking for a highly motivated and passionate: 

Senior Accounting and Tax Associate

The role:

Perform various accounting and financial tasks in an international environment, mainly in GL area. Provide tax guidance, mainly but not limited in VAT matters to the internal organization to ensure business cases are recorded correctly and ensure overall compliance with relevant tax rules.
Job Responsibilities
1. Perform daily operations in general accounting team, including but not limited to monthly closing activities, regular transactions and internal + external reporting requirements.
2. Participate the preparation and submission of the company`s corporate income tax filing as well as subsidy grants to the German Government.
3. Perform the monthly and annual VAT returns of the company. Act as interface to the tax office.
4. Provide expertise to the local Finance and Purchasing organization in German Tax related matters. Especially in relation to correct VAT treatment for transactions in an international environment (domestic input and output VAT, import, export, intra community supply and services) and to comply with legal tax requirements.
5. Act as local interface for Tax related questions to external tax consultants and our Headquarter Tax team.
6. Review contracts from Accounting &Tax perspective.
7. Assist with external financial and tax audits as well as internal audits.
Job Qualifications
Qualifications and Education:

1. Master’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.

Language Skills:

1.Very good German and English language skills (verbal and written).

Professional Skills:

1. Minimum 5+ years accounting practice within an international industrial company or tax consultancy company.
2. In-depth knowledge of German accounting practice and taxes.

Personal Attributes:

1. Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. 
2. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. 
3. Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and demonstrate initiative.
4. Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

1. Accuracy and punctuality of accounting entries and reporting.
2. Compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
3. Correct VAT and other tax handling and compliance.

Location: Dresden, Germany. 

*Onboarding in Taiwan for 1 to 2 months
