Established in 1987 and headquartered in Taiwan, TSMC pioneered the pure-play foundry business model with an exclusive focus on manufacturing its customers’ products. As of 2024, TSMC serves more than 500 customers and manufactures over 11,000 products for high-performance computing, smartphones, the Internet of Things (IoT), automotive, and digital consumer electronics. It is the world’s largest provider of logic ICs, with an annual capacity of over 17 million 12-inch equivalent wafers in 2025. TSMC operates fabs in Taiwan as well as manufacturing subsidiaries in Washington State, Japan and China, and the Company began construction on a specialty technology fab in Dresden, Germany, in 2024. In Arizona, TSMC is building three fabs, with the first starting 4nm production in 2025, the second by 2028, and the third by the end of the decade.
We are looking for a highly motivated and critical-thinking site reliability engineer to join tsmc. The ideal candidate should have exposure to systems in both staging and production and all technical teams. This position requires software development, support, IT operations, and on-call duties experience.

Job Qualifications
Requirements & Qualifications:

1. Hold a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Engineering, a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
2. Possess at least three years of experience supporting scalable service environments.
3. Think out of the box—always seeking innovative ways to improve performance.
4. Demonstrate strong proficiency in algorithms and data structures.
5. Show proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages or tools: Python, Go, JavaScript, Ansible, or Terraform.
6. Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with proactive problem-solving capabilities.
7. Maintain strong knowledge of major operating systems, particularly Linux, and their administration.
8. Apply best practices in software development to create tools for infrastructure/operation management and automation.
9. Understand enterprise architecture integration, distributed system architecture, and cloud-native application architecture.
10. Bring hands-on experience in event/incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis, mitigating production outages, and conducting post-mortems or failure story sharing.
11. Master Kubernetes platform architecture and administration.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Understand software engineering and DevOps practices, as well as CI/CD pipelines.
2. Demonstrate familiarity with computing, storage, networking, protocols (such as TCP/IP), and services (such as DNS, SLB).
3. Show familiarity with virtualization technologies for server, storage, networking, and network functions.
4. Utilize monitoring and analysis tools, such as Nagios, ELK, Splunk, and Grafana.
5. Possess AI-related experience (highly preferred).
6. Use source code version control tools, such as Git, GitLab, GitHub, etc.
