To help us build the foundation of our future fab in Dresden, we are looking for a highly motivated and passionate:

Accounting Associate

*Please note: Depending on the candidate's experience and background, a 3 to 6 months training at Taiwan's TSMC HQ will be required.

The role:

As an Accounting Associate in our team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and financial tasks to ensure effective cost control, maintain accurate accounting records, and handle payments in a timely manner. Additionally, you will play a key role in assisting managers and executives in setting up a disciplined accounting team. This position offers the opportunity to work in an agile and startup-like environment where your skills and expertise will play a crucial role in setting the very initial foundations of this historical joint venture.
Job Responsibilities
1. Manage daily operations of general accounting affairs, including but not limited to monthly closing, payments, fixed assets management, receivables, etc.
2. To initiate and co-work with other departments to set up accounting related processes and procedures.
3. To review contracts from accounting’s perspective.
4. To prepare monthly management reports, quarterly package, and ad-hoc analysis preparation.
5. To support SAP implementation and related system or functional upgrade.
6. To co-work with HQ accounting colleagues to analyze IFRS rules and compliance, and to analyze GAAP differences between IFRS and German GAAP.
7. To assist with external financial or government required audits and internal control audits. 
8. (Scope of change) There is a reassignment to the work specified by the Company.
Job Qualifications
Qualifications and Education:

1. Master’s or bachelor’s degrees in accounting or related field. 
2. Knowledge of German GAAP and IFRS.
3. Working experience in well-known international accounting firms, or CPA license will be a plus.
4. Experienced in multinational company, or familiar with technology deployment in Financial/ Accounting field (i.e., Python, RPA; robotic process automation, OCR; Optical Character Recognition) is preferred.

Must have experience:

1. Minimum 5+ years accounting practice within in well-known international accounting firms or leading industrial corporations.
2. In-depth knowledge of German accounting practice.

Language Skills:

1. Excellent German and English language skills are required for this role. (Both verbal and writing).
2. Conversational Mandarin will is considered a plus.

1. Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. 
2. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. 
3. Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and demonstrate initiative.
4. Self-motivated and able to work independently with remote offices before official building is ready.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

1. Accuracy and timeliness of accounting booking and payment handling.
2. Timeliness of internal and external reporting.
3. Compliance with accounting standards and internal control guidelines.
4. Budget management and cost control.

Location: Dresden, Germany. **After the compulsory training.
