Overview of Role
We are currently seeking an Account Specialist to oversee the engagement process from R&D to production and collaborate with customers to resolve manufacturing and business issues. This position is based in San Jose, CA, and involves managing TSMC’s key customer accounts and fostering positive business and customer relationships. Reporting to the Director of Account Management, this role is critical to ensuring our continued success. The ideal candidate must execute sales plans to drive sustainable growth and customer satisfaction.
The role will collaborate closely with Business, Planning, Pricing, Customer Support, Operations, and technical solution teams. Therefore, possessing the ability to understand business and technical language and empathize with the customer’s challenges is essential. We currently operate on a hybrid work schedule, with four days per week in the office.
Responsibilities
- Manage the engagement process from R&D to production and facilitate manufacturing resolution with customers
- Facilitate business, operations, and technical coordination between the customer and TSMC to develop relationships across all levels
- Support the account team in demand forecast and order fulfillment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of complete solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations
- Communicate with cross-functional teams to resolve business and technical issues that meet customer product and production goals
- Provide cost-effective and timely technology solutions that meet the needs of both TSMC and the customer
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors / Master’s degree in related engineering disciplines or business degree with minimum 3 years of related experience
- Familiar with Semiconductor Industry, Products, and Market trends
- Proven program management capabilities
- Strong customer orientation, good communication and presentation skills
- Proficient reading financial statements
- Ability to travel up to 15% a year
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in Mandarin and English is preferred
- MBA concentration in Accounting, Economics or Finance
- Experience in IC circuit design, process technology, product engineering or advanced packaging
- Ability to analyzing financial data and presenting it in a clear and concise manner
- Track record that illustrates ability to learn new skills
- Experience working with legal teams on business and technology contracts
- Ability to work independently and as a team in a very fast-paced environment

Pay Transparency Statement
At TSMC, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role typically pays a base salary between $71,000 per year and $101,500 per year. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range. Factors that influence pay include the individual's skills, qualifications, education, experience and the position level and location.
