European Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (ESMC) is a joint venture between four technology leaders, TSMC, Bosch, Infineon and NXP, to establish a state-of-the-art semiconductor fab in the heart of Europe. To help us build the foundation of our future fab in Dresden, we are looking for a highly motivated and passionate:

Facilities Technician / Betriebstechniker (Electrical Systems) (m/f/d)

As Facilities Technician you are responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting of electrical systems for all power up to and including 110kV including Site Substations, Service Entry Sections, Electrical switchgear, Panelboards, Transformers, cabling systems, metering circuits, diesel generators, uninterruptable power supply (UPS), Power Distribution Unit (PDU), Remote Power Panel (RPP), and Static Transfer Switch (STS) as well as motor connections, Motors and electrical controls. You play the pivotal role to ensure standard operating procedures are followed accurately and reliably to ensure our fab follows highest environmental protection standards. By performing laboratory testing and systematic verification and alignment of measurements from various instruments, sensors, and equipment our fab can run smoothly thanks to your work.
Zuständigkeiten
1. Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe workplace, follow all safety policies and procedures at all times and make recommendations for continuous improvement of work method, safety, materials-, and tool handling.
2. Monitors operation of the mechanical / electrical operating equipment.
3. Observes gauges, signals and recording instruments turns valves, moves controls to regulate temperatures, pressures, flow of heating water, coolant to effectively monitor critical limits.
4. Performs standard diagnostics, monitor site performance indicators and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for interruptions or incidents.
5. Performs troubleshooting, emergency and corrective maintenance and repair actions.
6. Performs diagnostic to determine root cause and corrective actions needed to maintain systems operation within specifications in conformity with plant standards.
7. Maintains log of gauge readings, shift throughput, and equipment malfunctions.
8. Patrols area to inspect equipment and record tank levels and gauge readings.
9. Ensures processing conditions and process output are within regulatory limits and alerting management of discrepancies.
10. Perform standard and non-standard equipment maintenance, repairs and modifications to ensure smooth operations inline with environmental protection requirements.
Qualifikationen
Qualifications and Education:

1. Eligible to work in Germany and available for 3 months on-the-job training in Taiwan.
2. Technician or equivalent technical apprenticeship education as electrician, in Mechatronics or a related field.
3. Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a facilities, utilities, or electrical related role.
4. Qualified electrician to effectively detect and repair defects in the operation of plant electrical equipment.
5. Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment with rotating shifts or on-call duties.
6. Deep interest in mechanical, chemical, and electrical principles related to mechanical systems.

Language Skills:

Good command of English with good command of German to communicate in our international workplace.

Professional Skills:

1. Knowledge of industry standards, codes and regulations, and the ability to apply to maintenance operation of site Electrical systems. 
2. Functional level knowledge of Electrical theory to troubleshoot and repair electrical controls and electrical power distribution systems, complex procedures pertinent to equipment and power distribution and wiring repair.
3. Operational knowledge of medium and high voltage cabling systems, understanding the hazards associated with the specific class of system voltage, and being able to mitigate these hazards through safe working practices.
4. Basic computer skills, ability to learn usage of standard maintenance and process monitoring software.
5. Able to read and interpret technical manuals and process schematics.
6. Capable of working independently and cooperatively with other Technicians, Engineers, and Managers with a strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and problem-solving.
