Die European Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (ESMC) GmbH ist das Joint Venture von TSMC, Bosch, Infineon und NXP. Erstmals errichtet der weltweite Technologieführer TSMC eine Halbleiterfabrik im Herzen Europas, die kleinste Fertigungstechnologien für Halbleiterprodukte der nächsten Generation bietet. Für unsere zukünftige Fab in Dresden suchen wir eine/n hochmotivierte/n und engagierte/n:

EHS Compliance Engineer (m/f/d)

At ESMC, we are building one of Europe’s most advanced semiconductor manufacturing facilities. As an ESH Engineer, you will help establish and continuously improve our Environmental, Safety & Health management system while ensuring compliance with German and European regulations.

In this role, you will do more than interpret legislation - you will translate legal requirements into practical solutions that enable safe day-to-day operations across our manufacturing environment. Working closely with managers, technical teams and external authorities, you will help build a strong safety culture from the very beginning.

Zuständigkeiten

1. Develop, implement and continuously improve the site’s Environmental, Safety & Health (ESH) management system in alignment with corporate standards.

2. Monitor new and changing German and European ESH legislation and ensure legal compliance across the site.

3. Translate legal requirements into practical processes and support departments in implementing compliant solutions.

4. Advise managers and employees on environmental, occupational safety and health topics.

5. Perform environmental and occupational safety officer responsibilities within your area of expertise.

6. Conduct workplace inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.

7. Provide expert guidance to operational departments by translating legal and regulatory requirements into practical ESH standards and procedures.

8. Collaborate with authorities, external partners and internal stakeholders on compliance and sustainability initiatives.

9. Support ESG initiatives and continuously improve ESH performance across the site.

Qualifikationen

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Safety, Environmental Management, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.

2. At least 5 years of professional experience in Environmental, Health & Safety.

3. You have already worked as an Environmental, Occupational Safety or other legally appointed ESH Officer and are familiar with taking responsibility for regulatory compliance.

4. Practical experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 management systems.

5. Strong knowledge of German environmental and occupational health & safety legislation, including regulations such as: BImSchG, ArbSchG, BetrSichV, GefStoffV.

6. Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or another highly regulated production environment is highly desirable.

7. Understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to assess operational risks in day-to-day production.

8. Strong communication and consulting skills with the ability to explain legal requirements in a practical and understandable way.

9. Structured, analytical and solution-oriented working style.

10. Fluent German and English.
