Established in 1987 and headquartered in Taiwan, TSMC pioneered the pure-play foundry business model with an exclusive focus on manufacturing its customers’ products. In 2023, the company served 528 customers with 11,895 products for high performance computing, smartphones, IoT, automotive, and consumer electronics, and is the world’s largest provider of logic ICs with annual capacity of 16 million 12-inch equivalent wafers. TSMC operates fabs in Taiwan as well as manufacturing subsidiaries in Washington State, Japan and China, and its ESMC subsidiary plans to begin construction on a fab in Germany in 2024. In Arizona, TSMC is building three fabs, with the first starting 4nm production in 2025, the second by 2028, and the third by the end of the decade.

Our company is seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to help lay the groundwork for our engineering teams to build robust automation tests more efficiently and effectively. The SDET will be instrumental in enhancing our testing capabilities and ensuring the highest quality of software delivery. Joining our dynamic team, you will be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology, working to support our expansive growth across the globe.

職務說明
1. Design, develop, and maintain the automation test framework and infrastructure that allows for efficient creation, execution, and maintenance of automated tests.
2. Collaborate with software engineers to understand product architecture and features, to build effective test plans and automation scripts.
3. Implement best practices in test automation and ensure that automated tests are integrated into the continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
4. Mentor and support other engineers in writing testable code and developing automated tests, enhancing the team's overall testing expertise.
5. Troubleshoot, identify, and document bugs, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
6. Optimize test automation strategies to increase test coverage, test efficiency, and lower defect rates.
7. Engage in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve the quality and maintainability of test code.
8. Stay updated with the latest trends in test automation and introduce new tools and frameworks that can enhance testing workflows.
職務要求
1. Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
2. Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript and a strong understanding of object-oriented design.
3. Solid experience in creating and maintaining automated tests for web, mobile, and/or API services.
4. Understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
5. Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools like Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
6. Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and build tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure Pipeline, etc.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
8. Experience with source code version control tools or services like Git, GitLab, GitHub, etc.
9. Personal Attributes: Highly motivated, excellent analytical skills, detail-oriented, and a team player with a passion for quality assurance and test automation.
10. Having SRE knowledge is better.

 (1) Familiar with cloud native technology such as container, kubernetes, and service mesh.
 (2) Have interest in system monitoring, maintenance, backup/restore, rollback and system fail-over design.
 (3) Knowledge of Kubernetes, Elastic Search and Linux command. 

Additional information for the job:

1. Job Location: Taipei Site, Hsinchu Site.
2. On-call needs: On-call 1 week every 2 months.

3. On-site personality and English test. (could be replaced if you have a script of an officially recognized English test)
