SRAM Design Engineer (5388)
Overview of Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated SRAM Design Engineer to join our team. As a SRAM Design Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with TSMC’s leading process technology and portfolio of design enablement solutions to unleash innovation for the global semiconductor industry. Join us in the Austin Design Office and be part of the team that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in the world of semiconductor manufacturing. We are currently operating in a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in office.
Responsibilities
- Hands on development of SRAM compiler memories, including circuit design, timing/power characterization, netlist/tiling, and EDA view support
- SRAM Compiler verification and QC
- Daily collaboration with local team members as well as frequent correspondence w/ overseas teams on various topics
- Communicate project status and results in an accurate, timely and organized manner
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in E.E. (or equivalent) with at least 5+ years of experience in SRAM and/or compiler memory development
- Reasonable fluency in Perl/Shell/TCL/Python scripting
- Fluency with Cadence Virtuoso and other common EDA tools.
- Must have good teamwork attitude and be able to work under pressure
- Fluency with MS xls and pwr point
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally verbally and in written communications
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters/PhD in E.E. (or equivalent) with at least 3+ years of experience in SRAM and/or compiler memory development
- In-depth knowledge with SRAM compiler development, Cadence, and Synopsys circuit design environment
- Experienced in TSMC N10 or below advanced technology circuit design & layout
- Exposure to TSMC N5 and below technology
- Advanced knowledge timing and power characterization techniques and methodologies

Pay Transparency / Benefits statement
At TSMC, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role typically pays a base salary between $106,500 and $175,000 per year. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range. Factors that influence pay include the individual's skills, qualifications, education, experience and the position level and location. TSMC’s total compensation package consists of market competitive pay, allowances, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits. We also offer extensive development opportunities and programs.
