To help us build the foundation of our future fab in Dresden, we are looking for a highly motivated and passionate:

Mechanical System Engineer (AAS/LSC engineer)

The role:

ESMC is seeking passionate a talented Facility Mechanical Engineers who possess a keen mechanical aptitude and a deep commitment to environmental stewardship. As a member of our Facility team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of semiconductor manufacturing by prioritizing smart operations, optimizing flow, implementing efficient systems, fostering economic thinking, and championing green manufacturing practices.

Eventually you will contribute to achieving energy saving & environment protection by developing green Fab design/maintenance, utility conservation, material recycling/reclamation, GHG control/reduction and various cutting-edge technologies.
Job Responsibilities
1. Master 2-stages AAS, incl. Exhaust/ pumping line, local / Central treatment unit and accessary to constantly reduce pollutant source and meet emission target with high quality of Exhaust supply for production line.
2. Continuously improve DRE (Destruction Removal Efficiency) of Acid/Alkaline/Organic compounds without production interruption for contribution of environmental protection incl. Net 0 emission, Carbon neutral, RE100.
3. Lead ESMC trusted external partners and collaborate with contractors to achieve system reliability, robustness & capacity by fulfilling comprehensive PM (Preventive Maintenance).
4. Drive operational optimization by running data analysis and pollutant tracing and overall system expansion and performance improvement.
5. Solve issues by exhaust pollutant tracing, data analysis and root cause derivation with instruments such as detector, sensor and monitoring / measuring tools…etc.
6. Execute facility system planning, design, construction & commissioning with high quality performance and ESH (Environment/ Safety/ Healthy) for start-up, renovation, improvement, and expansion.
7. Familiar with FMCS, machine learning and A.I. control to optimize operation and enhance system efficiency. 
8. Solve and improve system weakness to eliminate operation risk and enhance system defense for zero excursion.
9. Run daily facility operation, data analysis with proper shift schedule to keep stable utility supply to production line.
10. Be able to improve professional capability of various facility systems, tasks management and project execution by mutual continuous training & sustainable talent development.
11. Ability of cross-function (in) / organization (out) communication skill and team-work altitude of self & team members to solve problem and complete projects with one team-work.
12. Demonstrate responsibility, ownership and being accountable for making decisions and execution for own job. 
13. Willing to build trusting relationships with team members and support each other enthusiastically.
14. Passionate to protect environment by eliminating air pollutant, saving energy and building up friendly workplaces.
15. Additional duties based on business needs, including ERT.
Job Qualifications
Qualifications and Education:

1. Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC/R Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other related technical fields with minimum of 3 years experiences in facility/ related technical fields, better in semiconductor industry.
2. Master's degree in engineering or related field, with specialization in AAS (Advanced Air Systems) preferred.
3. Extensive experience in facility engineering, particularly in exhaust and pumping systems, pollutant removal, and preventive maintenance.
4. Proficiency in data analysis, instrumentation, and root cause analysis techniques.
5. Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
7. Commitment to safety, environmental sustainability, and continuous improvement.

Language Skills:

1. Fluent German and English is required.
2. Additional languages is a plus.

Professional Skills:

1. Understanding of Air emission, HVAC, building codes incl. TA Luft, DIN, VDI, DVGW, ASHRAE, IBC, IECC, IMC, and IPC) is preferred.
2. An understanding of chemical analysis, fluid dynamics design, vibration analysis, air molecules contamination and heat transfer, thermal management is preferred.
3. Excellent communication/ interpersonal skills, ability to actively listen, ask questions, and understand the key takeaways from conversations with colleagues.
Capable of project management and great communication skill.
4. Experience with AutoCAD is required.
