Established in 1987 and headquartered in Taiwan, TSMC pioneered the pure-play foundry business model with an exclusive focus on manufacturing its customers’ products. In 2023, the company served 528 customers with 11,895 products for high performance computing, smartphones, IoT, automotive, and consumer electronics, and is the world’s largest provider of logic ICs with annual capacity of 16 million 12-inch equivalent wafers. TSMC operates fabs in Taiwan as well as manufacturing subsidiaries in Washington State, Japan and China, and its ESMC subsidiary plans to begin construction on a fab in Germany in 2024. In Arizona, TSMC is building three fabs, with the first starting 4nm production in 2025, the second by 2028, and the third by the end of the decade.
Job Responsibilities
Hiring Division: Intelligent Engineering Center (IEC)
 
1. Experiment and develop computer vision system to fulfill Fab requirements and deliver results on time, including the production of wafers or dies and key components.
2. Develop computer vision algorithms for massive scan and image review in the Fab, including image processing, automated defect classification, and defect identification through rule-based or machine/deep learning.
3. Coordinate projects and engage in proactive discussions with users.
Job Qualifications
1. Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering fields.
2. Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
3. Positive attitude and willingness to tackle challenges.
4. Demonstrated ownership of projects and strong teamwork skills.
5. Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, Matlab, C++, C#.
6. Experience in software development and system integration.
7. Flexibility to cooperate with business trips, cross-site project testing, and on-site support when needed.
8. Familiarity with computer vision algorithms, image processing, and morphology; experience with past project would be an added advantage.
9. Experience in machine learning/deep learning modeling using frameworks like Keras, PyTorch, TensorFlow would be an added advantage.
