Established in 1987 and headquartered in Taiwan, TSMC pioneered the pure-play foundry business model with an exclusive focus on manufacturing its customers’ products. In 2023, the company served 528 customers with 11,895 products for high performance computing, smartphones, IoT, automotive, and consumer electronics, and is the world’s largest provider of logic ICs with annual capacity of 16 million 12-inch equivalent wafers. TSMC operates fabs in Taiwan as well as manufacturing subsidiaries in Washington State, Japan and China, and its ESMC subsidiary plans to begin construction on a fab in Germany in 2024. In Arizona, TSMC is building three fabs, with the first starting 4nm production in 2025, the second by 2028, and the third by the end of the decade.

Role:

The DevOps Manager leads the software product team to deliver high-value and high-quality products. The candidate should have exposure to systems in both staging and production environments and should collaborate with all technical teams. This position requires experience in software development, operations, and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities
1. Manage the Product Development team.
2. Design and implement cloud-native micro-service architectures.
3. Refactor existing monolithic applications to cloud-native architecture.
4. Oversee task management and product release management.
5. Drive high-quality software development and deployment processes and culture.
6. Lead the evaluation and adoption of new IT technologies.
Job Qualifications
1. Minimum 3 years of experience as a DevOps Manager, leading a team of 10+ members and overseeing implementation, testing, deployment planning, validation, quality assurance, operations, and sustainability of technical solutions.
2. Familiarity with DevOps technical quality control processes, artifacts, and CI/CD toolchains.
3. Proficiency in domain-driven micro-service design and implementation.
4. Proficiency in container and cloud-native architectures (e.g., Kubernetes, Istio, Argo, MongoDB, Redis, etc.).
5. Demonstrated technical leadership in providing design options to address challenging issues.
6. Demonstrated capability in evaluating and adopting new technologies.
7. Skilled in people management, motivation, and development to empower a highly efficient and quality-driven DevOps team.
