For our future fab in Dresden, we are looking for a highly motivated and committed:
System Engineer Cleanroom / Systemingenieur Reinraumtechnik (m/f/d)

Join ESMC at a pivotal moment as we build one of Europe’s most advanced semiconductor manufacturing facilities. As a System Engineer Cleanroom, you will play a key role in bringing critical cleanroom systems into operation and ensuring their long-term performance, reliability and compliance. This position offers the unique opportunity to combine technical ownership with the excitement of a greenfield project in an international high-tech environment.
Job Responsibilities
1. Take ownership of cleanroom-related systems and ensure their reliable, safe and compliant operation.
2. Monitor and optimise system performance to maintain cleanroom conditions and maximise system availability.
3. Lead troubleshooting activities and drive sustainable solutions through structured root cause analysis.
4. Coordinate maintenance activities and collaborate closely with technicians and external service providers.
5. Support the transition from fab construction into stable manufacturing operations.
6. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, efficiency and operational performance.
Job Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facility Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related technical discipline.
2. Several years of professional experience working with cleanroom environments or comparable highly controlled technical facilities.
3. Experience in the operation, commissioning or optimisation of complex technical systems.
4. A structured and analytical approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.
5. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technicians, service providers and cross-functional teams.
6. Fluent German and English language skills (minimum C1 level in both languages).
7. Willingness to participate in international training assignments during the onboarding phase (up to 3 months in Taiwan).

Nice-to-Have:

1. Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or related high-tech industries.
2. Knowledge of cleanroom technologies, including Airborne Molecular Contamination (AMC) and Air Pollution Control (APC) systems.
3. Experience with reliability and problem-solving methodologies such as RCA, FMEA or 8D.
4. Previous experience in a system ownership or operational responsibility role.
