Established in 1987 and headquartered in Taiwan, TSMC pioneered the pure-play foundry business model with an exclusive focus on manufacturing its customers’ products. As of 2024, TSMC serves more than 500 customers and manufactures over 11,000 products for high-performance computing, smartphones, the Internet of Things (IoT), automotive, and digital consumer electronics. It is the world’s largest provider of logic ICs, with an annual capacity of over 17 million 12-inch equivalent wafers in 2025. TSMC operates fabs in Taiwan as well as manufacturing subsidiaries in Washington State, Japan and China, and the Company began construction on a specialty technology fab in Dresden, Germany, in 2024. In Arizona, TSMC is building three fabs, with the first starting 4nm production in 2025, the second by 2028, and the third by the end of the decade.
Job Responsibilities
1. Quality System Certification Leadership: Lead and manage TSMC's Quality System certifications, including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and QC 080000.
2. Quality System Enhancement: Proactively identify and drive cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvements within TSMC's Quality System.
3. Quality System Capability Development: Enhance TSMC employees' quality system capabilities through various initiatives, including conducting training sessions and workshops.
4. Customer Audit Requirements Management: Interpret and integrate customer Quality System and FMEA audit requirements, guide the customer audit process, and ensure effective follow-up on audit action items.
5. FMEA Implementation and Enhancement: Coordinate and execute the implementation and continuous enhancement of TSMC's Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) processes.
Job Qualifications
1. Educational Background: Master's degree or higher in Science or Engineering.
2. Quality Management Systems Expertise: A minimum of 5 years of practical experience with international quality management system standards, including but not limited to ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA 6.x, and QC 080000. Relevant professional certifications are required.
3. Core Tools Application Proficiency: At least 5 years of hands-on experience with AIAG core tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.
4. Semiconductor Industry Experience: A minimum of five years of experience within the semiconductor industry.
5. Project Leadership and Presentation Skills: Proven experience in independently leading projects and delivering effective presentations.
6. Communication and Collaboration Skills: Excellent and open communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate within cross-functional teams, especially in challenging situations.
7. Language Proficiency: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English (equivalent to a TOEIC score above 750) and Mandarin.
8. Work Ethic: A proactive, innovative, and self-driven approach to work.
9. Work Location: The primary work location will be in Taiwan (Hsinchu, Tainan, or Taichung), with occasional business travel required between various TSMC operational sites.
10. Programming Skills: Experience with programming languages, preferably SQL, R, or Python, is considered a plus.
