Established in 1987 and headquartered in Taiwan, TSMC pioneered the pure-play foundry business model with an exclusive focus on manufacturing its customers’ products. As of 2024, TSMC serves more than 500 customers and manufactures over 11,000 products for high-performance computing, smartphones, the Internet of Things (IoT), automotive, and digital consumer electronics. It is the world’s largest provider of logic ICs, with an annual capacity of over 17 million 12-inch equivalent wafers in 2025. TSMC operates fabs in Taiwan as well as manufacturing subsidiaries in Washington State, Japan and China, and the Company began construction on a specialty technology fab in Dresden, Germany, in 2024. In Arizona, TSMC is building three fabs, with the first starting 4nm production in 2025, the second by 2028, and the third by the end of the decade.
Job Responsibilities
We are testing R&D Division and looking for highly motivated candidates to join us for Silicon Photonics test solution development in TSMC testing area.

Job content: Silicon Photonics test technology development and debug, and NPI-MP ownership

1. Mainly responsible for collaboration with customer for Silicon Photonics test requirements to implement in engineering and production environment including building automation flow for NPI to MP.
2. Responsible for the evaluation, analysis, selection, and introduction for Silicon Photonics test solution with customer and vendor including equipment automation and optical test metrology. 
3. Cross-team collaboration with TSMC RD/PE/QR/Packaging team and key external customers will be necessary. 
4. Need transportation between TSMC's testing site (Hsinchu/Zhunan/Taichung) in Taiwan may be required.
Job Qualifications
1. Master’s degree or above in EE, Photonics, Physics, or Electro-Optical Engineering or any other related field.
2. Experience and skills in optical domain measurement and knowledge are preferred.
3. Fluent in written and oral English communication skills.
4. Aggressive working attitude and teamwork mindset.
