Overview of Role

 We are seeking motivated summer interns to join our Corporate Research Memory Technology team in San Jose. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of semiconductor technology, contributing to groundbreaking advancements by exploring new materials, devices, and applications. As an intern, you will collaborate with internal experts and external partners, gaining invaluable hands-on experience and developing new skills in a dynamic, professional environment. You will work alongside industrial R&D professionals, actively participate in research group meetings, and have the opportunity to present your findings to your peers and mentors. We are looking for candidates with strong research capabilities and a passion for tackling scientific and engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cutting-edge research and engineering development in 3D integration and thermal management.
  • Perform assigned tasks under the guidance of experienced senior team members.
  • Design and execute experiments, carry out tests and simulations, and compile detailed reports.
  • Participate actively in research group meetings and present your findings.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in material processing, characterization, device fabrication, testing, or simulation.
  • Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to explore new technologies.
  • Excellent teamwork abilities.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferably experienced in material development, integration processes, and testing.
  • Familiarity with thermal materials and thermal management is a plus.

At the time of this posting, this role typically pays an hourly rate between $37.00 and $44.00 per hour. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range. Factors that influence pay include the individual's skills, qualifications, education, experience and the position level and location.
