TSMC WA seeks a Diffusion Technical Manager with reliability, enthusiasm, and alignment with our core values: Integrity, Commitment, Innovation, and Customer Trust. You will lead and optimize diffusion processes in our production facilities, managing a team of engineers and technicians to ensure efficient, safe, and quality-driven operations. Expertise in diffusion technology, strong leadership, and collaboration skills are essential for this role..  

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Diffusion engineering team, providing guidance and support for operational excellence.
  • Oversee and optimize processes to meet production goals and quality standards while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and innovations, driving continuous improvement and resolving complex challenges.
  • Efficiently manage resources, including equipment, materials, and personnel, to maximize productivity and enhance wafer quality.
  •  Develop and maintain documentation, stay informed on industry trends, and promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Elevate engineering and manufacturing excellence by collaborating with Process Integration, Manufacturing, Yield Improvement, and Cross-Module teams.
  • Identify and develop talent within the team through a strategic roadmap.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 8 years in the semiconductor industry, with at least 2 years in diffusion process management under a manufacturing environment and 2 years in people management& development.
  • Strong expertise in diffusion technology and equipment, including Diffusion thermal process, Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) Furnace process, Ion Implanter process and Chemical Mechanical Polishing (CMP) process.
  • Available for weekend duty and off-hours phone support.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, focusing on motivation and development.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety standards. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Pay Transparency / Benefits statement 
At TSMC, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role typically pays a base salary between $145,627 and $202,612. per year. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range. Factors that influence pay include the individual's skills, qualifications, education, experience, and the position level.  TSMC’s total compensation package consists of market competitive pay, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.
