As an Etch Equipment Technician, you will perform chamber and platform basic maintenance, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on tools and will be responsible for supporting a variety of Etch platforms. Performs setup, calibration, failure analysis, electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance duties on semiconductor manufacturing equipment, components and assemblies, in a fast-paced clean room manufacturing setting.


Position typically assigned to a 12-hour day or night shift compressed work week schedule with 3 days on one week and 4 days on the next. 

 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Repair equipment according to blueprints and/or written procedures
  • Maintain equipment logs, repair data and shift status pass-downs
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on equipment
  • Support the equipment section with other responsibilities as needed
  • Become certified on a variety of tool types
  • Work with counterparts within engineering department and other departments to meet quality and manufacturing goals
  • Diagnose and repair equipment according to blueprints, schematics, and written procedures.

 

Requirements:  

  • Very strong computer skills

  • Have a strong mechanical apptitude and/or experince

  • Demonstrate basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

  • Able to use electronic and/or test equipment.

  • Able to use tool manuals and follow established processes and procedures.

  • Able to work day/or night shift (12-hour shift structure).
  • Need superb attention to detail and follow safety rule.

  • A strong ability to learn quickly. Needs to be team-oriented, self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks in fast-paced environment.
  • Previous semiconductor experience in Etch areas preferred.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)

Pay Transparency / Benefits statement 
At TSMC, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role typically pays a base salary between $26.08 and $39.08 per hour. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range.
