Established in 1987 and headquartered in Taiwan, TSMC pioneered the pure-play foundry business model with an exclusive focus on manufacturing its customers’ products. In 2023, the company served 528 customers with 11,895 products for high performance computing, smartphones, IoT, automotive, and consumer electronics, and is the world’s largest provider of logic ICs with annual capacity of 16 million 12-inch equivalent wafers. TSMC operates fabs in Taiwan as well as manufacturing subsidiaries in Washington State, Japan and China, and its ESMC subsidiary plans to begin construction on a fab in Germany in 2024. In Arizona, TSMC is building three fabs, with the first starting 4nm production in 2025, the second by 2028, and the third by the end of the decade.
Job Responsibilities
1. Manage and control cost spending to ensure budget compliance.
2. Monitor and analyze financial performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and provide recommendations for enhancing profitability.
3. Manage the budgeting and forecasting process to deliver reasonable financial forecasts and conduct valid simulations to support decision-making.
4. Present cost trend, variances, and financial performance to senior management team.
5. Collaborate with fabs and other functions to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
6. Lead team in process optimization and efficiency improvement.
7. Mentor and develop team members, offer guidance and support in their professional growth.
Job Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting or a related field.
2. 10+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
3. Experience with managerial accounting, budgeting, financial planning, and strategic analysis.
4. Experience in the semiconductor industry is preferred.
5. Global working experience is preferred.
6. CPA certification is preferred.
7. Effective skills required: logical thinking, communication, project management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
8. Possess utmost integrity, a strong knowledge of accounting principles/regulations, and financial acumen.
9. Ability to work cross-functionally under pressure in a fast-paced high-tech environment with a strong sense of urgency and ownership.
10. Fluent in English and Mandarin.
11. Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
