Overview of Role

We are currently seeking an Account Manager to oversee the engagement process from R&D to production and collaborate with customers to resolve any manufacturing issues. This position is based in San Jose, CA, and involves managing TSMC’s key customer accounts and fostering positive business and customer relationships. Reporting to the Director of Account Management, this role is critical to ensuring our continued success. The ideal candidate must execute sales plans to drive sustainable growth and customer satisfaction.

 

The role will collaborate closely with designers and the Field Technical Solutions team. Therefore, possessing the ability to understand design language and empathize with the customer’s challenges is essential. We currently operate on a hybrid work schedule, with four days in the office.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the engagement process from R&D phase to production and facilitate manufacturing resolution with customer and internal team
  • Drive demand creation and fulfillment, including demand forecast and order fulfillment
  • Collaborate with various TSMC departments to resolve problems and meet customers’ needs in development and production to win customer satisfaction
  • Develop pricing strategy and negotiate pricing and business with customers, including quotation and legal agreements, transactions, and business operations
  • Analyze customer product roadmap, market, and competitiveness of customer and TSMC

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors / Master’s degree in Science or Engineering disciplines with minimum 15 years of related experience
  • Familiar with Semiconductor Industry, Products, and Market trends
  • Proven program management capabilities
  • Strong customer orientation, good communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient reading financial statements

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English
  • Experiences with advanced packaging technologies (e.g. Flip Chip, BGA, fan-out packages, WLCSP, 3DIC, heterogeneous packages)
  • Good knowledge of semiconductor technology, design, process, and operations including test and product engineering is a plus
  • Track record that illustrates ability to learn new skills
  • Experience working with legal teams on business and technology contracts
  • Ability to work independently in a very fast-paced environment

Pay Transparency

At TSMC, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role typically pays a base salary between $158,000 and $220,000 per year. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range. Factors that influence pay include the individual's skills, qualifications, education, experience and the position level and location. TSMC’s total compensation package consists of market competitive pay, allowances, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits. We also offer extensive development opportunities and programs.
