Senior Tax Specialist 

TSMC Arizona is looking for a Senior Tax Specialist to join our 5-nanometer fab, located in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. Job Description:

Prepare monthly/quarterly/annually indirect tax filings, including but not limited to Sales/Transaction Privilege tax and Use Tax, Property Tax, and similar taxes

Review Accounts Payable invoices to determine applicable use tax

Assist in Reverse Audit on TPT and Use tax

Assist in developing systems, policies, and procedures for improving the efficiency and accuracy of the data collection used in tax filings

Research and assess related changes from tax laws or macroeconomy TSMC AZ taxes position and implement any necessary changes

Develop audit-ready files to support the current year returns

Assist with state and local governmental sales/use and property tax audits, including the gathering of information requested by government tax auditors, and where appropriate assist in the defense of tax positions taken by the

Company

Assist in a variety of special projects as needed

Experiences in corporate income tax preparation and filing is a plus

 

Required skills and qualifications

Minimum 5 years’ experience in Indirect tax filing

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Experience in managing extensive volumes of accounting paperwork for a corporation or large organization

Extensive knowledge of accounting methods, tax laws, and audits

Keen interest in maintaining knowledge of tax legislation changes

Manages multiple priorities, competing deadlines, and shifting degrees of urgency, with calm diligence and a positive attitude

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Sharp attention to detail

Strong written and oral communication skills

 

Preferred skills and qualifications

 CPA and/or Master’s degree are preferred
