Overview:
The Facilities Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading, managing and developing a multi-discipline team of highly skilled technicians on a shift to support high volume wafer fabrication. The Shift Supervisor will be empowered to manage the shift to meet performance objectives and to work with the factory module teams to meet the performance requirements.
The Shift Supervisor will work in cooperation with other technicians, engineers, and managers to ensure that all process specifications are met, and to ensure efficient completion of projects.
Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe workplace and sets a high bar for working safely
Sets overall vision and leadership for the shift operations team
Set high standards for performance outcomes
Develop and maintain positive relationship with the factory customers
Ensure adequate staffing & skill sets on shift. Develop personnel to achieve a high-performance team including staff rotation.
Inspect buildings’ physical plant daily to guarantee that building services are at the highest level of quality standards.
Ensure the site is operating according to state and local building codes.
Work closely with Maintenance Supervisors to support any off-shift maintenance needs, identify opportunities for improvement in maintenance program
Monitor contractors work and ensure work is being performed in accordance with contract specification.
Continually evaluate service delivery process and make needed changes to drive cost savings initiatives.
Understand and support Site performance indicators
Lead any RCA for any factory interruptions or EHS incidents
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
The Shift Supervisor must have knowledge of industry standards, codes and regulations, and the ability to apply to maintenance operation of site facilities systems:
Always follow all safety policies and procedures
Ability to read, interpret, and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
Ability to work cooperatively with other technicians, supervisors, engineers, and managers
Team building, Analytical and problem-solving skills
Sound decision making skills
Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and listening communications skills
Advanced computer skills including the ability to operate Corporate email, spreadsheets, word processing, engineering drawing databases at a highly proficient level
Capable of working independently, exhibit effective leadership and prioritization skills
Willingness and ability to work overtime when needed for business purposes, or to be called-in to work in the event of emergency or business needs.
Contributes recommendations and suggestion for work method improvements, safety, materials, and tools.
The Shift Supervisor must have an appropriate focus on personal, process, and work force safety.
Attributes should include honesty, trustworthiness, respect for others, flexibility, and sound workplace ethics
Experience, Education, and Training:
Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline or management preferred.
5 years of facility maintenance experience, preferably in a large scale Industrial campus setting.
Extensive building systems knowledge, preferably with CMMS, BMS/SCADA.
Fundamental understanding of at least 1 discipline: Electrical, Mechanical, Water, Controls or Gas & Chems.
