Principal Engineer, Analog and Mixed-Signal (5327)
Overview of Role
TSMC’s Analog and Mixed-Signal team is looking to hire a seasoned analog and mixed-signal designer to architect and design advanced high speed data converters in state-of-the-art fabrication technologies. The candidate is expected to have solid knowledge and understanding of analog and mixed-signal fundamentals in advanced CMOS nodes. Good understanding of MOS device physics is a must. You will report to the Department Manager of the Advanced Connectivity Department in Austin, Texas. We are currently operating in a hybrid work schedule with 4 days in office.
Responsibilities
- Literature review, development, and verification of circuit components for high-speed interfaces
- Work with team members with expertise in device, circuit, and system architecture.
- Generate and prepare test documents to enable remote testing.
- Prepare engineering documents and status update reports
- Mentor junior designers
Minimum Qualifications
- PhD degree with 6+ years or MS with 10+ years of industry experience in analog and mixed-signal design
- Good understanding of state-of-the-art high speed wired and wireless interfaces and various data converter architectures.
- Top-down design knowledge and experience (deriving specification, system architecture, circuit design, layout and post layout verification and validation)
- Knowledge of test and characterization of analog circuits in the lab
- Good communication, documentation skills, people skills and positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of advanced packaging techniques
- PLL design knowledge
- Knowledge of Linear regulators and DC-DC converter design
- Knowledge of analog and mixed-signal behavioral modeling (Verilog A, Verilog, etc)

At TSMC, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role typically pays a base salary between $116,500 and $189,200 per year. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range. Factors that influence pay include the individual's skills, qualifications, education, experience and the position level and location.
