Established in 1987 and headquartered in Taiwan, TSMC pioneered the pure-play foundry business model with an exclusive focus on manufacturing its customers’ products. In 2023, the company served 528 customers with 11,895 products for high performance computing, smartphones, IoT, automotive, and consumer electronics, and is the world’s largest provider of logic ICs with annual capacity of 16 million 12-inch equivalent wafers. TSMC operates fabs in Taiwan as well as manufacturing subsidiaries in Washington State, Japan and China, and its ESMC subsidiary plans to begin construction on a fab in Germany in 2024. In Arizona, TSMC is building three fabs, with the first starting 4nm production in 2025, the second by 2028, and the third by the end of the decade.

This role focuses on researching EU/Asia HR market trends to evaluate the competitiveness of salaries and aligning compensation programs with recruitment strategies to attract quality candidates. It involves regularly reviewing compensation packages to identify and address any pay disparities.
The ideal candidate should have clear and transparent communication skills regarding compensation policies and decisions to foster trust and employee buy-in. This role will act as the primary contact for Compensation in the region, implementing global tools, and providing consultation and training to the HR community and line managers.

The major job responsibilities for this role include: 

1. Reviewing overseas salary surveys and market data to identify gaps or emerging patterns.
2. Staying informed about compensation trends within the industry, location, and specific job roles.
3. Benchmarking against competitors.
4. Comparing employee pay with industry peers.
5. Identifying gaps and prioritizing opportunities for improvement.
6. Ensuring pay aligns with the overall objectives of the organization.
7. Implementing solid pay practices that incentivize behaviors and outcomes instrumental in meeting the organization’s goals and success.
8. Conducting regular internal reviews for pay fairness and equity.
9. Reviewing pay equity and addressing notable discrepancies to safeguard against potential legal issues.
10. Ensuring compliance with all government regulations and labor laws.
Qualifikationen
Desired Qualifications:

1. Master's degree or equivalent in human sciences, organizational psychology, business management, or a related discipline.
2. Possess 15+ years of progressive experience in HR or leadership roles.
3. Proven track record as a compensation planner role in international, multi-cultural, matrixed, and complex organizations. 
4. Pragmatic problem-solver with strong people management skills.

Minimum Requirements:

1. University degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant and demonstrated compensation & benefits experience gained in a large commercial environment, ideally Professional Services.
2. Knowledgeable in compensation and benefits best practices and actively involved in the successful delivery of the annual salary and bonus review.
3. Highly proficient in English. 
4. Excellent computer skills, including strong knowledge of Excel.
