Established in 1987 and headquartered in Taiwan, TSMC pioneered the pure-play foundry business model with an exclusive focus on manufacturing its customers’ products. In 2023, the company served 528 customers with 11,895 products for high performance computing, smartphones, IoT, automotive, and consumer electronics, and is the world’s largest provider of logic ICs with annual capacity of 16 million 12-inch equivalent wafers. TSMC operates fabs in Taiwan as well as manufacturing subsidiaries in Washington State, Japan and China, and its ESMC subsidiary plans to begin construction on a fab in Germany in 2024. In Arizona, TSMC is building three fabs, with the first starting 4nm production in 2025, the second by 2028, and the third by the end of the decade.

Role:

Intelligent Manufacturing Engineers utilize big data analysis and machine learning to optimize production scheduling and lead the technical team to ensure the smooth operation of the manufacturing process, achieving daily production capacity goals.
Job Responsibilities
1. Oversee the daily operations of the IC foundry to ensure that all profiling operations, workflows, and customer reports are consistent with agreed-upon service operations.
2. Improve productivity in an effective and efficient way to meet the organization’s objectives.
3. Assist with scheduling projects to be completed, running projects upon compound receipt, analyzing data using database systems/tools, and updating tracking programs to keep operations running smoothly. Schedule work plans to meet customer and business expectations.
4. Respond quickly to changing priorities and handle multiple projects with potentially overlapping deadlines.
5. Manage direct labor (DL) and build team spirit through involvement and forum-based communications.
6. Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve standard techniques, protocols, and processes.
7. Interact with different functions like PE, PIE, and EE to ensure robotic workstations, detection instruments, and database/informatics tools are built to meet service demands.
Job Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Industrial Management, Information Systems, Mechanical and Automation Engineering, Civil Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of OM, IE, IT, or a related field is required.
3. Knowledge of semiconductor processes is preferred.
4. Fluent in Mandarin and English.
5. An enthusiastic and dedicated individual with the capability to motivate and lead using a team approach.
